Interior Trends for Autumn & Winter 2025
As the seasons change and the evenings draw in, it’s the perfect time to think about creating a home that feels warm, inviting and effortlessly stylish. This week, I had the pleasure of attending a John Lewis talk on the key interior trends for Autumn/Winter 2025 and I left full of inspiration. I wanted to share some of the highlights — along with my own thoughts on how you can bring these ideas into your home.
Trends are always a great source of ideas, but it’s important to remember they’re not about following rules. The most beautiful homes are those that reflect your personality and lifestyle!
Creating a Warm, Cosy Atmosphere
This season is all about comfort and texture. Think spaces you want to retreat to after a busy day, with layers of warmth and character.
Patterned quilts layered over crisp white bedding are a big trend for bedrooms — a simple way to bring personality without overwhelming the room.
Jute rugs and woven baskets add a natural, grounded feel, perfect for making your space both practical and stylish.
The Colour of the Season: Cocoa
Every season has its standout shade and for Autumn/Winter 2025, John Lewis have chosen cocoa — a rich, chocolate brown.
Warm earthy tones continue to be hugely popular (and they’re my personal favourite!), making it easy to build a palette that feels timeless, cosy and elegant. You can introduce cocoa through soft furnishings & accessories, it’s a versatile shade that works beautifully with neutrals and metallics alike.
John Lewis Collections for AW25
John Lewis have launched five distinct ranges this season, each with its own personality and inspiration:
Modern Lux – Contemporary sleek lines, subtle glamour and a warm cosy finish
Scandi – Minimalist, clean silhouettes and understated comfort with pops of cobalt blue
Rustic – Raw textures, natural materials and earthy simplicity
Heritage – Classic design with a nod to tradition and timeless quality
Timeless – My personal favourite! Effortless, cosy, nature inspired and designed to last beyond trends
Each of these ranges were designed in-house and take inspiration from the fashion catwalk!
My Take on AW25
What excites me most about this season is the focus on warmth and liveability. It’s about creating spaces that not only look beautiful but also feel comfortable and welcoming. I love how earthy tones, tactile fabrics and timeless pieces all come together to form a home that feels both modern and deeply personal.
Trends can be a wonderful source of inspiration, but the key is to understand your own personal style and choose the elements that truly resonate with you. A home that reflects your personality and lifestyle will never go out of fashion — it will stand the test of time and continue to feel right for you, season after season.
